Back Stories: The Dog

In 2011 I switched almost entirely back to film. In that time I was starting to understand that gear wasn’t that important. I was starting to get over the idea of needing every camera I saw. For much of that year I carried around nothing but a Ricoh GR21. It spent most of its time […]

Back Stories 1: Crosses

I noticed the orange and red lights first while flying into Korea. I remember thinking about Gibson’s Neuromancer. The neon night city  of Chiba and my obtuse vision of what Asia was like. When the plane was close to touching down I realized what I was looking at were crosses. Equally neon, they littered the skyline. I didn’t […]

Cherry blossom season again. A lot has changed since last year. All I can say for certain is I'm excited to take this photo next year ;) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My wife and I had gone to a small path near her work. I'd run out of film. Most people at that point would just snap a couple of photos with their phone for fun, grab lunch and go. I don't consider my phone a secondary device. It's a camera. I hear so often that phones don't feel like cameras. There was a time when a Ricoh GR1 didn't feel like a camera. Get over yourself and use what you have especially in a situation when you have no choice ;) My favourite photo from this day ended I being this one from the 'lowly' Galaxy s10E. On a similar note, the thing I get asked about most in photography. Most emails and messages ask the same thing. It's always about my processing. Well, about two weeks ago I decided to announce an online workshop where I would cover my editing and processing. It's a three hour course where I talk about using Lightroom, Snapseed, and several other programs as well as the way I shoot to make my processing as easy as possible. The initial response to the workshop was great and it almost sold out! There are a couple of spots remaining, so if you're interested shoot me a message or follow the link in my profile! Workshop is in April 17th and has two time slots to be friendly to people in different parts of the world :)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Excited to announce an online workshop on April 17th 2021. The workshop will cover digital photo editing and processing. During the workshop I will thoroughly discuss and show my digital editing process as well as talk about the shooting methods I use. Students will have a chance to try out some of the presets I use and will receive a preset package :). Link to sign up in my bio or shoot me a DM if you have any questions! Also, of course a special thanks to my lovely wife for scaring the crap out of me but also giving me a good photo for this post ;) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
